Scrunchie & The Fire by
Cassandra
Todd was out in the stable reading Black Beauty to Scrunchie.
"Chapter 3," announced Todd "Bed Time." Scrunchie snorted and scrunched here nose.
"Ill read more tomorrow." Laughed Todd, "Dont worry."
As Toddy absentmindedly slid the book on a table he knocked the lantern over. It crashed on the floor.
Todd lept up as the glass scattered. He cried out and as the glassed sliced his bare feet. Scrunchie kicked open her
stall door and rushed to Todds side. He climbed on her back and she galloped to the house.
Todds parents called the fire department and the fire was soon out. "That pony save your life."
Fireman stated, "You could have suffocated in all that smoke!" Scrunchie was a Hero!
