Cool Cruise
My Dream Pony

I first found my dream pony (Cool Cruise) at Chincoteague island on pony penning day. He was a little brown colt and he was adorable. His star shone in the sunlight on the beautiful sunny morning. When I first saw him I knew he was the one I was going to bid on. He sold for exactly the right price; $250. I had saved my money from selling apples from our orchard, babysitting, and saving my allowance. When he willingly followed me onto our trailer for the first time I knew he was perfect for me. I rubbed his soft, white star and tried to think of a name for him. I just couldn’t think of one!

We had a long drive home and we had the windows open, so we could hear my colt, in case there was a shipping problem. Wind was cool as we drove. Then I thought of it! Cool Cruise – like cool cruise home. When I got him home, it took a long time to train him, but he turned out to live up to his name? Cool Cruise!
