Once upon a time at a special place called Happy Hoofs Stables, there lived a special apple-blossom mare named Lady. Lady was a Champion Jumper horse, and all young riders loved her because she was gentle, patient, calm, and trustworthy. Lady had won: 5 3rd place ribbons, 3 2nd place ribbons, and 9 first place ribbons.

As time went on, Lady gave birth to a filly. But Lady was so tired from giving birth, that she died. The vet couldn't do anything to help her. When the people that worked at Happy Hoofs set the filly loose in the field, the other horses did not recognize it, and they never have, up to today. Because of this, they named the filly, "Stranger". Stranger was a gray horse with a black mane.

Stranger grew up to be a good jumper horse, except that she was stubborn Some time later, Stranger gave birth to a filly. The filly was just as gentle, patient, calm, trustworthy and polite as her grandmother, Lady, had been before her. But the groom thought that the real Lady might be rejected, so he called her Li'l Lady. Everyone was calling her Li'l Lady. So....
