One warm summer day a little brown and white paint pony was born.
The curious and damp colt waited a few minutes to take in his new, strange surroundings. Then his mother, a fine chestnut with a few white marks, decided it was time for her hungry colt to stand! The little colt then made one attept after another to stand, but to no avail. Finally after a whole 30 minutes he stood, and the little paint baby for the first time became part of the world.

When the colt just 2 years old, he was sold to a wealthy family. Their little girl, Bethany was kind but not sure of herself on a horse. Her father has the pony broken and trained kindly. When Bethany first got on she had a wonderful ride. The pony who was cleverly named Oreo sometimes bolted or bucked Bethany off. Whenever Oreo bucked Bethany off she got right back on and pre
tended it never happened. One sad day Bethany got to be too tall. She told Oreo (she often talked to him) that she had had a great two years with him and she would never sell him if it was up to her. Alas, it wasn't up to Bethany and Oreo was sold. As Oreo was being loaded into the trailer she yelled to him that he had taughter her so much and she would never forget him.

Oreo's new owner renamed him Chocolate. His name was Louie and he was cruel. When he was mad he had a temper! Every time he fell off of Chocolate he beat him! Or whenever Chocolate did the slightest thing wrong he beat him. Fortunately for Chocolate, Louie's parents saw this and they put him up for sale. Chocolate had been there the longest year of his life.

Next he was sold to Becky. She noticed how abused and scared he was right away and took pity on him. Becky was a short, 20 year old and was just the right size for Chocolate. She was a show woman and needed a show name for her horse. After considerable thought, she named him Chocolate Chip.

After repairing the pony both mentally and physically, she went straight to the top of the show world with her jumper pony. She and her pony grew old together and lived long happy lives, but of course her pony didn't live as long as she did. But in a sense he was always with her. And today they are together up in heaven jumping and galloping as if he was two years old and she was twenty again!
